Liew joined EON Bank Group with more than 20 years\' experience in the banking industry covering internal audit and branch operations and management, as well as head office management. He originally joined the bank in 2004 before leaving to pursue other opportunities. When he returned to the EON Bank Group in late 2008, he was tasked to build on the momentum of the bank’s three-year transformation initiative called Project Quantum Leap, with the mandate to improve productivity, effectiveness and efficiency by leveraging on technology. While away, he played key roles in building an extensive network between business associates and key government officials in China.
