Samir Shah is the managing director and CEO of the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) in India. NCDEX has been a pioneer in warehouse infrastructure. During his appointment, he focused on customer centricity by running a customer satisfaction survey--conducted by an agency called Grass Roots, perceived as a breakthrough in the history of commodity exchanges. The findings of the survey stated the need for change in customer orientation. Hence Mr Samir Shah restructured the front office of the company into business development group and a relationship management group, for customer service excellence.
