Emlyn Scott has been CEO of National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX) since Oct 4, 2011. He is also co-founder and director of Open Markets Australia. Scott has over 20 years’ experience in finance and business development and prior to NSX spent nine years at LCH Clearnet as senior executive where he managed business development in clearing and settlement. He was responsible for the development and implementation of the world’s first cash equity versus derivative trading and clearing service and was responsible for the implementation of a number of multi-million dollar clearing projects with London Stock Exchange, Merrill Lynch, Nomura, Chi-X Europe and Citigroup. In the past Scott has been a fund manager at Martin Currie based in Edinburgh where he managed European IPO investments. He was senior interest rate derivatives consultant at Commonwealth Bank from 1993 to 1997. Scott is a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and a chartered financial analyst with an MBA from the University of Edinburgh, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University.
