Dato’ Tajuddin Atan is the CEO of Bursa Malaysia and a director of the Capital Market Development Fund. He is also a board member of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, non-executive member of SME Corporation Malaysia and an adjunct professor at the faculty of economics and management of Universiti Putra Malaysia. He has 24 years’ experience in the finance and banking industry. He was previously the CEO of Bank Simpanan National from 2004 to 2007 where he was instrumental in restructuring and transforming the company into a profitable and sustainable business entity. Prior to that he was managing director of RHB Bank from May 2009 to July 2009. He was instrumental in elevating RHB’s business performance, operational efficiency and development. He started his career in 1983 at Bank Bumiputra Malaysia where he held various senior positions culminating with the post of treasurer in the Treasury Division. Dato’ Tajuddin graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science (Agribusiness) from Universiti of Putra Malaysia. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University, USA where he was awarded the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma (MBA) in recognition of high scholastic achievement.
