Patrick Maes currently leads ANZ group’s technology, services and operations division, and is responsible for defining its strategy as well as helping the group execute this strategy by driving efficient delivery of technology. He joined ANZ in August 2010 as CTO and GM technology strategy and enterprise architecture. Maes has over 30 years’ experience in banking, advanced technology, architecture, systems development and management consulting. Prior to joining ANZ, he was with HCL Technologies as global principal consultant, investment and transaction banking. He has worked with many companies across Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, including start-up investment bank WIT Capital, Rabobank International, IBM and AXA.
