Hwang has over two decades of banking experience in the field of risk management and financial control and has worked at UBS, Westpac and Seattle First National Bank before joining Taishin Financial Holdings. In the 1990s, she was credited with making UBS the first bank in Taiwan to obtain various derivative licenses and clearing up large P/L discrepancies for a portfolio of more than 3,000 complex reverse dual currency swaps closing a seemingly never-ending parallel run of two swap systems. She also established the daily risk control and trading position/P&L reporting procedures for FX and interest rate portfolios through an overhaul of UBS’s trading system.
