Wu is the founder and chairman of Taishin Financial Holdings, which has businesses ranging from banking, securities, bills finance and asset management, to venture capital investment and securities investment advisory. He is credited with successfully closing the first M&A among commercial banks in Taiwan by acquiring Da An Bank. Taishin has attracted global strategic partners such as Newbridge Capital, Nomura and QE International. An avid art lover, Wu established the Taishin Bank Foundation for Arts and Culture to support Taiwan's local artists and promote the contemporary arts scene. Wu has been the chairman of Taishin International Bank since 1992.
