YS is a seasoned HR professional with a strong consulting background. He started his career with global professional services firm Deloitte Consulting in the US, where he advised Fortune 500 organisations on human capital issues relating to organisation, talent, change management, process redesign and technology implementations, among others. Following that, YS had a stint at DBS Bank in Singapore before joining Standard Chartered in 2017. He was the Bank’s Global Head of Organisational Design before this latest appointment. As Head of HR, Singapore, YS will be responsible for executing the talent and people development strategy for the Bank, which has about 9,000 employees in Singapore, with a continued focus on attracting and building a dynamic workforce capable of digitalising, innovating and future-proofing banking. In tandem with that, YS will also continue to build an optimal employee experience for the workforce of the future.
