These ventures encompass innovative business models in areas such as Trade Finance, Supply Chains, ESG, Sustainability, Financial Planning, and notably, Crypto Custody, Exchange, Brokerage, DeFi, and the Metaverse. With an extensive career spanning over two decades at Citibank, KPMG, UBS, McAfee, and Standard Chartered Bank, Viren has overseen engineering, delivery, operations, and governance teams, consistently driving enhancements in cyber security resilience and maturity. Recognizing the implications of emerging technologies such as Crypto, Blockchain, Web 3.0, AR/VR, AI/ML, and Hybrid clouds within a constantly evolving threat landscape, influenced by cyber-crime, espionage, terrorism, and warfare, Viren plays a pivotal role in vetting candidates for cyber lead positions at ventures. He also ensures that risk committees and board members possess adequate knowledge to steer cyber resilience efforts in alignment with regulations, risk appetite, policies, and standards.
