Mr. Wongnongtaey assumed the role of Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer on August 1, 2021, following his previous appointment as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Audit Officer on January 1, 2021. With over 22 years of experience at SCB, he possesses a robust understanding of management accounting and internal control, having served on The Committee on Accounting Standard Setting. He began his tenure at SCB in 1998 as Vice President and Deputy Senior Manager in the Corporate Planning and Information Department, overseeing accounting information systems. Over the years, he progressed to roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately becoming an Executive Vice President in the Financial Reporting and Control Division in 2008, and later assuming the position of First Executive Vice President and Chief Audit Officer in 2016. Mr. Wongnongtaey holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting from Thammasat University.
