Surath Chatterjee currently serves as the managing director of global retail bank, at Standard Chartered Bank based in New York. Chatterjee made his mark at the bank managing Citi’s exposure to the card crises that occurred in Hong Kong in 2003, Korea in 2004 and Taiwan in 2005, successfully bringing card NPLs for Citi in the three countries to one lower than the industry average.
