Parkson Cheong is Group Chief Risk Officer at National Bank of Kuwait, responsible for the risk management framework, credit policies and approvals, and overall risk policies and profiles throughout NBK Group’s global operations. Prior to this role, he served as Chief Credit Officer (located in London) of NBK Group’s entire network of Branches and Subsidiaries outside Kuwait. Additionally, he spent many years with Mellon Bank, N.A., in various roles across commercial banking, credit policies and approvals, and corporate finance, culminating as the Bank’s Senior Credit Officer in charge of its Europe, Middle East and Africa Region. He also spent several years in investment banking and is an active member of the Institute of International Finance.
