Shimura currently serves as senior managing director for both Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. (SMFG) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), a wholly owned subsidiary of SMFG. He presently oversees the Transaction Business Division, which supports the transaction banking business operations of diverse business units of SMBC.
