Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the chairman of the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX), a DMCC joint venture initiative to set up the first derivatives and commodities exchange in the region, with electronic trading accessible from anywhere in the world. In this capacity, he added further momentum to the growth plans of DGCX, while consolidating progress that the exchange has witnessed since its inception. Prior to his appointment, he was the COO of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (he continues to serve as the executive chairman at DMCC) when it was first established in 2002 and has spearheaded the success of the Centre in Dubai's commodity market as he took on the responsibility of the organisation's operations.
