Susan Hwee is currently head of group technology and operations at UOB. She joined the group in 2001 as an industry veteran with over 20 years' experience in IT and previous senior positions in large technology and banking organisations under her belt. Under her leadership as executive vice president of information technology at UOB, she integrated more than 100 major systems within eight months during UOB’s acquisition of OUB in 2001-2002. Prior to joining UOB, Hwee held senior positions in organisations such as Keppel TatLee Bank, Citibank N.A., and IBM. In her work in Keppel TatLee Bank, she managed the integration of the IT and back-office operations when the two institutions merged in 1998. For ten years in Citibank, she handled the implementation of several IT initiatives in the Asia Pacific region.
