Merisa Darwis is an accomplished Indonesian professional with a background in Computer Science from Institut Teknologi Bandung. She began her career as a Software Engineer at WIN in Bandung (1991–1992) and continued with USI/IBM (1992–1993), followed by a position at Berlitz in Japan (1994–1996). Returning to Indonesia, she worked at Citibank NA from 1996 to 2009 and at Bank Barclays Indonesia from 2009 to 2011. At Bank BTPN, she initially served as Head of Internal Audit (2011–2016) and then as Head of Operations (2017–2019). Since 2019, she has been the Operational Director at Bank BTPN, a role she was reappointed to through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on April 21, 2022.
