Mr. Chan became part of UOB in 1998 and currently serves as the Head of Group Credit and Risk Management. Before relocating to Singapore in September 2012, he held the position of CEO at UOB (Malaysia) from 2003 to 2012. Possessing a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and membership with The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he brings nearly three decades of banking experience to his role. Prior to joining UOB, Mr. Chan spent three years in a merchant bank after serving a nine-year tenure at the Central Bank of Malaysia.
