Mr. Phan Thanh Son assumed the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer in August 2019, following his tenure as Head of the Treasury and Financial Markets Division starting in January 2011. With over two decades of experience in local financial markets, he has been instrumental in advancing local fixed income markets. Previously, he served as Deputy CEO at TienPhong Bank and held various roles in Global Markets Divisions at Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam), Citibank (Vietnam), and Citigroup Global Markets Ltd (Hong Kong). Additionally, in September 2019, he was appointed Head of Global Transaction Services. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the National Economics University, Hanoi (Vietnam).
