Andrew Hinchliff assumed the role of Group Executive Institutional Banking and Markets on August 1, 2018. His journey with the Commonwealth Bank began in 2015 when he joined as the Executive General Manager of Global Markets. With an extensive 18-year career in investment banking across London, New York, and Australia, Andrew spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs. His leadership roles at Goldman Sachs included serving as Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Sales and Trading (FICC) Australia. Starting as an Oil and Gas Design Engineer, Andrew graduated with Honours in Bachelor of Engineering and Commerce from the University of Western Australia and later earned his Masters of Business Administration at the Stern School of Business in New York with a focus on Finance.
