Li joined Bank of China in July 1990. He has been working as the General Manager of Global Trade Services Department since June 2016. Li focuses on the innovation of renminbi cross-board payments and international settlement to deepen RMB internationalisation for Bank of China. Also, he was appointed as a director and the chairman of Bank of China (Mauritius) since September 2016.
