Iswaraan Suppiah is currently group chief information and operations officer at CIMB. He oversees operations, information technology, transformation, business process development and operational governance and assurance functions for the CIMB Group, leading a staff of about 7,000 across the group’s regional offices. His personal agenda includes raising operational excellence to the levels where back-office processes achieve the quality discipline and efficiency emphasis of world class manufacturing standards, backed by state-of-the- art business process management maturity. Suppiah started his career with Arthur Andersen in 1984 before joining Bank of Commerce in 1990, moving to CIMB Securities in 1994. The roles he held at CIMB included executive director of operations and head of equity risk management, before assuming the position of head of strategic risk and compliance with CIMB.
